  • 6th Annual Spirit Center "Celebrity Dinner"

Location: U.S.S. Lexington Museum on the Bay - 2914 N Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78402, USA
    Date: January 18, 2018 6:00 pm - January 18, 2018 10:00 pm

Stroll through the corridors of our Cubano Mercado and experience “Noche Cubana Tropicalâ€ with the festive sounds of Caribbean music from Latin Talk at the 6th Annual Spirit Center "Celebrity Dinner" on Thursday, January 18, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the U.S.S. Lexington Museum benefitting the Fannie Bluntzer Nason Renewal Center, Inc., a/k/a The Spirit Center.

The Spirit Center, a ministry of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, only 25 miles northwest of Corpus Christi, offers facilities for a retreat experience close to home yet located in a secluded, rural location away from the hustle-and-bustle of everyday life.

The goal of this Signature Fundraiser is to supplement our scholarship fund that provides opportunities for well deserving, area youth who otherwise cannot afford to experience the joy and benefits of an overnight life changing retreat. In addition, funds will support our expansion project of beautiful Meditation Gardens, which will include a nature trail surrounding the facility, a Praying Labyrinth, and a Stations of the Cross Garden. We are ready to develop this part of the facility.

Help celebrate the opening of The Spirit Center Youth Facility by joining us for an evening of entertainment, appetizers, dinner, music, auctions, photo opportunities, and awards. We will be honoring and recognizing area students for outstanding service from various youth groups.

The youth will be paired with our Celebrity Waiters for a casual night of healthy competition and fun, as high profile members of the community serve guests while they compete for various awards such as “Best Latin Flair Awardâ€, “Silver Service Waiterâ€ and “2018 Star Celebrity Waiterâ€!!!

Your financial support will contribute to building a place for spiritual, educational, leadership and social development of our youth in South Texas.
