SMH: Azealia Banks Has A Message For Cardi B Amid Pregnancy

Cardi B’s reported (but still unconfirmed) pregnancy with fiancé and Migos rap star Offset is the talk of the town with Coachella right around the corner, Cardi’s first major music fest performance of the year.

Harlem femcee Azealia Banks is joining the buzz as well, and with a message to Bartier Cardi that could either be one of two things: sarcastic or sincere.

Azealia took to her Instagram story to acknowledge the alleged pregnancy, hinting at a supposed truce.

“Wooooow sis,” she wrote, tagging Cardi on the Instagram story post. “Congrats on your pregnancy!! Now I can’t hate on you anymore because you’re someone’s mom!”

She penned the message with a “sincere congratulations,” which might still rub the Bardi Gang the wrong way when taking the Ice Princess’s previous sentiments on Cardi into consideration. Back in September, she gave Cardi and her fans a mouthful of shade, accusing the “Bodak Yellow” star of ghostwriting and dubbing her a “poor man’s Nicki Minaj.” This came after she scorned Charlamagne Tha God and other members of the media for rooting behind the Afro-Latina Bronx-native whom Azealia doesn’t consider an actual Black woman, but a “spicy Latina.”

The world may never know if the “212” artist will ever be ready to make amends with Cardi. But, if her message happens to come from a genuine place, it’s one foot in the right direction.

Decide whether Azealia’s shaming, shading or shouting out Bardi in the post below.

Safaree Reveals When He Witnessed Nicki Minaj Kiss Nas

The epic “Right By My Side” music video kiss between Young Money femcee Nicki Minaj and her fellow Queens-bred rap icon Nas, who would turn out to be her future rumored boyfriend, left some fans swooning and others suspicious of a love thing between the two artists.

Nicki’s then-boyfriend Safaree turned out to be the latter after he revealed to hosts of Easily Offended that not only was he hurt by it, but never saw it coming while he was on set for the video. Not that he could have either, considering that he said it went down behind his back, too.

The “Hunnid” rapper sat down with the podcast’s trio to discuss the steamy moment between his former fiancée and Escobar.

“You want to know what’s so crazy?” he asked. “I didn’t know it happened until the video came out…. I ain’t gonna lie— I was hurt.”

Safaree said he was on set for the video shoot the entire day, and the kiss must have happened the minute he stepped out for about an hour. He said that afterward, when the video had already premiered, she mentioned it slightly. However, he didn’t seem to know that the situation she was referring to went to such an extent.

Even though he still seems to be bothered by it years later, hopefully Safaree is continuing to move forward in his career sans Nicki controversies.

Report: Donnie McClurkin Accused Of Leading ‘Gay Cure Cult’

After reports of a “gay cure” therapist’s suspension for sexually engaging with patients, a Twitter user has accused gospel singer and minister Donnie McClurkin Jr. of having ties to Exodus International, a homosexual conversion organization with a disturbing history of sexual abuse allegations.

The individual claimed his mother enrolled him in Exodus years ago, and McClurkin had “formed a religious gay cure cult” via the organization.

“The dudes that ran it took advantage of us,” he wrote in the first series of now-viral tweets. “I lost my virginity in gay cure therapy.”

He went on explaining that the organizers kicked him out after he told his parents about the abuse and that he “resisted God’s help.” Fortunately, he said, he’d never experienced some of the organization’s alleged inhumane treatments for “victims” of homosexuality, such as electric shock therapy. However, the trauma suffered from sexual and mental abuse still lingers, he said.

McClurkin nor his team have made official statements regarding the accusations yet.

In the meantime, read what the alleged former patient had to say about the organization below.

This Man Will Stop At Nothing To Win Young M.A’s Heart

Brooklyn rap star Young M.A isn’t shy about letting people know that she’s got a thing for the ladies as a proud member of the LGBTQ community since breaking out with her smash hit, “Ooouuu.”

Apparently, there’s a man who isn’t shy about letting the whole world know that he’s got a thing for her, either, as he professed in an Instagram post that has Snoop Dogg rolling in laughter.

The Instagram user @daylyt2k posted a photo of himself with M.A as the two posed for a picture together in “East” and “West” coast jerseys. The photo is innocent enough, but we can’t say the same for the caption.

“From the day we [laid] eyes on each other, I know it was something special…,” he wrote. “I’ma do everything I can to get her to be my kingqueen…just imagine what our kids would like…”

But he didn’t stop there. He also slid in Young M.A’s DMs with a pair of peeping eyes followed by another picture of a loving family of five, with his face and that of M.A’s photoshopped on the mother and father in the flick. The shots somehow landed on Uncle Snoop’s timeline, who commented on the pictures with only the amount of hilarity we’d expect them to have.

“Use a d**n fool [cuz],” he wrote with a series of laughter faces.

Indeed, Uncle Snoop. Indeed.

See how far off the court he went to shoot his shot with the Brooklyn emcee below.

Mya Reveals What Her Managers Asked Her To Do For Publicity

R&B songstress Mya has two decades worth of music industry experience under her belt and a wide range of industry mates, friends, and relationships that she’s picked up along the way.

That does not, however, include intimate relationships, which she says her former managers tried to convince her to gravitate toward in order to stay in the Hollywood spotlight.

The “Case of the Ex” singer sat down with the hosts of Hot 97 to reveal that there’s been times where members of her management suggested she date and link herself to certain artists for publicity. Mya refused these suggestions, of course, due to her belief in the sacredness of actual love and relationships.

“I’ve had two boyfriends in the industry,” she said. “Like, relationships. But I never say names because I respect my relationships and what we’ve gone through.”

Mya said that she doesn’t mind sharing the experiences of those former relationships in art form via her music, but she wouldn’t compromise her or her former significant other’s privacy.

“People have linked me to a lot of people,” she said, while responding to Ebro Darden that she’d never dated Sisqó nor Jadakiss, artists she was formerly rumored to be dating. “But people also project what they want to see for you.”

After her father managed her, Mya went on to work with industry managers throughout her career. But she did away with anyone who suggested she take illegitimate means to success.

“My intention has always been love and connection with a person beyond anything else,” she informed. “I’ve been so private because I didn’t want it to make or break me or to be a public stunt. I’ve really fired a lot of managers that had that mindset or publicists that had that mindset of, ‘Oh, you need to go on a date with this person because it’s going to help album sales.’ No thank-you. That’s not my flow. I don’t like it. I understand it from that perspective.”

Not to mention, she’s “single,” “focused,” and “celibate,” as she put it, so a faux relationship doesn’t fit in her schedule, anyway.

Shout-out to Mya for staying true after all of these years.
