A yogi was so moved after watching ‘Black Panther’ he created Wakanda yoga

When Artis Smith, a Virginia-based yoga instructor, went to see Black Panther at the cinema, he came away feeling something he hadn’t felt before at the end of a movie—pride.

That feeling didn’t go away, so he decided to combine his fandom for Black Panther with his work as a yoga instructor. He created Wakanda yoga.

Smith, who identifies as mixed race, says he has always struggled with his identity for much of his life because of the way people of colour are represented by the media. “Because of the way the media portrayed black people and Africa made me ashamed to be black,” says Smith.

This gadget will bring Amazon’s Alexa into your car

At home, you generally have your hands free. In the car, not so much. But while Alexa has clearly made your casa her casa (she’s even laughing at you these days), she’s nowhere to be found when you need her on the road.

Muse is a crafty little gadget looking to change that — and *gasp* it’s not even made by Amazon. Speak Music is the clever company behind this convenient come up, which has Indiegogo to thank after securing more than $100k in funding. Whether you need to tell a friend you’re running late or skip that one annoying song on your playlist, Muse can help you do this without obtaining a texting-and-driving ticket, as seen here. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is the longest MCU movie, obviously

Are you ready to spend close to three hours watching the various heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe compete to see who can punch Thanos the hardest?

The runtime of Avengers: Infinity War has been revealed by no less an official source than Fandango, and here it is: two hours and 36 minutes (or 156 minutes). Scratch maybe ten minutes off that number if you’re a monster who skips credit rolls.

Infinity War takes the crown as Marvel’s longest movie to date, unseating the previous winner, Captain America: Civil War

It makes senseInfinity War is poised to bring together all the various plot threads set up over the course of 18 previous MCU films, dating all the way back to 2008’s Iron Man. There’s a lot of work to do in getting all of these characters together and united against their common foe, Thanos. Read more…

Russell Simmons’ Statement On Sexual Assault Accusations

Russell Simmons is saying that the sexual assault allegations against him couldn’t have happened because, um, it’s not in his personality to do something like that.

TMZ caught up with Simmons on Saturday (March 17) and asked if he thinks he’ll beat all the cases mounding against him.

“I don’t have a stitch of violence in me,” he replied. “I would never hurt anybody. I never had any violence in me. But you know, it’s a difficult time for everybody.”

What made things more shocking was what happened after the brief interview. At the end of the video, you can see the music mogul get into his a car with his date, who then kissed him multiple times for everyone to see.

Ummm… yeah.

So far 12 women have accused Russell Simmons of sexual misconduct, including Insecure actress Amanda Seales, fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone and screenwriter Jenny Lumet.

Lawmakers use Twitter to help Trump’s fired FBI director save his pension

Andrew McCabe’s pension might be in jeopardy and some Democratic lawmakers aren’t having it.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired the former FBI director on Friday. McCabe was just two days away from retiring after a 21-year career in the U.S. government, but the forced exit might cost him his pension.

This possibility doesn’t sit right for a number of reasons, most notably because McCabe has been one of Donald Trump’s frequent targets for online bullying. Although the firing came at the end of an ostensibly independent investigation, Trump’s past treatment of McCabe coupled with the timing creates a perception that the president’s ire influenced this outcome.
